Person giving quote

“There are many benefits to volunteering but my favourite is watching people grow and improve. One lady now walks 5 miles and barely gets tired, it’s a huge improvement from when she started.”

Person giving quote

“Watching people get to grips with their tablets in Tech and Tea, My favourite was a lady who took a selfie and emailed it to her granddaughter for the first time, the look of joy on her face!”

Volunteer

Person giving quote

“I had no confidence before I rarely left the house, I’m busy and this is new and good. I have a purpose and helping people and seeing them get confident makes me feel needed.”

  • Encourage participants to engage in wellbeing conversations
  • Signpost participants to other activities which will support their wellbeing

There are opportunities for wellbeing champions to also share their digital skills and knowledge supporting our Tech & Tea courses. Wellbeing champions can also volunteer with our Check and Chat service, providing 1:1 wellbeing support over the phone.
