Older people have volunteered to assess their neighbourhoods, which includes community venues, businesses, green and outdoor spaces, and public transport by completing an assessment tool.
Those they feel have met the criteria will be issued with a certificate, which can be displayed.
Assessment criteria by sector:
A space which is welcoming and responsive to the requirements of older people
A space which considers the physical environment to ensure meets the needs and expectations of older people
A space which considers opportunities to address wider health and wellbeing priorities
Safe, reliable, affordable
See below for a full list of all the organisations, businesses, community venues, outdoor spaces and public transport which have been assessed and awarded a certificate.
